LINO PRINTING
what is lino printing and how does it work?
Lino printing is a form of relief/block printing that involves carving a design into a surface of linoleum, removing what you don't want to print and leaving behind what you do. It is called a 'relief' process meaning that whatever is raised up will catch the ink, and whatever is carved away will remain the colour of the paper.
You can use the lino printing technique to carve some bold and simple designs, as well as capturing and creating some very detailed designs. Once you have cut your design, you can ink it multiple times to create multiple prints.
